I'd been kneed in the thigh playing basketball, decided enough was enough. Getting banged up is unavoidable but mitigating it... These shorts have helped. A little awkward at first, but now I don't really notice them while using. Pads are not overly bulky. Washes easily. It might be nice if the thigh pads ran a bit longer down the thigh. Aside from that, overall a very helpful product.
