The foam pads slowly slip away off the the wrap piece. The glue warms up when used and does not keep the pads in place. Probably ok if there is ventillation around the knee. I use this with long pants and saw chaps while firefighting. I had tried other knee braces and they were extremely unconfortable. These braces are extremely confortable, they are very ligh, they adjust easy while doing heavy exercise. They provide adecuate stability to my knees, now I can exercise without having to worry about my knees. It does not bind or slip if attached properly. I also just noticed that you can move the supporting pads from the sides to the top and bottom of you knee. A really large athlete would not be able to get any benefit from this. I'd reccomend the Clo-Pat knee brace instead.
