This way, when my son gets hit by a crazy pitch froma nother 9 year old, he will be protected. Just one thing, though, I wish the protector thing was wider to cover more of his chest and not just his sternum. His whole chest needs protection. I have bought him other heart protection shirts but he would never wear them because it restricted his throwing while pitching. He loves the mcdavid shirt and says it feels like underarmor.
