The Women’s Downtown Jacket from Mountain Hardwear is designed for use in the coldest weather conditions. Whether you are climbing the mountains, or out in the cold streets of the city, the OL2865 is there to protect you from the most extreme chill mother nature has to offer. Showcasing a Velboa Raschel velour fleece lining, the Downtown is extremely warm and doesn’t sacrifice comfort in doing so. Insulated with a 650-fill Goose Down Insulation, the Downtown Jacket provides plenty warmth in the most extreme weather conditions, without weighing you down.
The exterior of the Mountain Hardwear Downtown Jacket showcases 30D Micro Taffeta construction, (a 100% nylon microfiber that’s downproof by construction) and features a silky soft Water Repellent finish. The OL2865 provides plenty of room to store your goods with two fleece lined hand pockets, and a zippered interior pocket. Dual hemcords provide a custom fit, while a micro chamois lined chin guard provides extra protection from the elements.

Down Insulation: Down refers to a mix of waterfowl feathers (usually goose) that has a minimum of 70% down clusters and plumules (the soft, springy tufts that provide loft), 10% down fibers, and a 20% combination of feathers, feather fiber, and residue. All Mountain Hardwear down is 100% goose down and surpasses this minimum standard. The two major sources of down are China and Europe. Chinese geese are harvested at about seven weeks old and yield smaller down clusters. European geese are harvested at about twenty weeks old and yield larger clusters. Mountain Hardwear's 600- and 650-fill power downs are mixtures of Chinese and European down, while 775-fill is entirely European down. |
