The Casual Crew Socks are constructed from Thor-Lon acrylic with heavyweight padding to help reduce shock and prevent shearing, blisters and calluses. The added padding in the heel cushions the foot as the shoe strikes the ground. Provides a casual sock look with an athletic sock feel. Made in The U.S.A.

I purchased these socks for my 83 year old father who recently has been diagnosed with diabetes. After his diagnosis, he lost about 40 lbs, and as he jokes, a lot of the weight loss seemed to be from his feet. He had found some cushioned soled socks that he felt helped, but remarked they couldn't take the place of Thorlos. I had purchased him the "regular" thorlos for Christmas and, on impulse, included a pair of black ones for him to try. Very shortly after Christmas, he asked if I could get him some more of those black socks, for they "did the trick" when he dressed up. Your company offered the best prices on these socks, and along with the free shipping, enabled me to honor his request. I thank you, and my dad's feet than you!

Two pair of the black crew socks were worn over a two week period and washed. There was very little walking, however, the threads are tearing in the same location on both pairs near the inner ankle. I have 6 other pair and hope they don't do the same thing. Won't know until I wear them. I sent the two pair back to you and waiting for two new replacements.
