I try the socks, when I remove them from my feet it seem like my feet was dryer than the times I used regular athletic socks. However, my feet felt all day like they were wet, if that bis the price I have to pay it is really uncomfortable. If I buy the best cotton socks I can found and if I change socks during the day, at least once it will give me the same result with out the uncomfortable and a lot least money.

In 2001 I was part a the first Official men's team (Men With Heart) to walk in the three day 60 Mile Avon Breast Cancer walk From Fitchburg MA to Boston. I bought 6 pair to do the job. Last month I was down to 1 full pair that had had no holes. In the mean time I had replaced the worn out ones with non Thorlo socks many times. Christmas was here and I bought myself four more pairs of new Thorlos. I'm still wearing the one pair left over from the walk and know I'll always have Thorlos in my wardrobe, for comfort and durability.

I bought 4 pairs of the CoolMax Grey hiking socks in 2000 to walk the 60 mile Avon breast cancer walk. I'm Still wearing 2 of the 4 pairs. They have lasted 8 years and many hundreds of washings. I'm ready to order 4 more. No socks have ever lasted me more than 2 years. At any price they have more than paid for themselves.

Socks are comfortable but I don't find them to offer enough of a difference from a standard athletic sock to merit the difference in cost. I've tried them on a hike of medium intensity and found no real difference in foot comfort/protection from athletic socks.
