Featuring a Wind And Water Resistant outer shell, the 1203270 helps regulate core body temperature, while ultra-light poly microfill insulation provides maximum thermal protection with minimal weight. The ArmourLoft ™ Hooded Jacket features ColdGear ® cuffs, dual hand pockets, and a bottom hem cinch, to keep the cold out and trap warmth in. A full time hood provides additional protection from the elements, while an internal mesh organizer pocket helps store your personal belongings and valuables. Ideal for skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and all other mountain sports.

BACK TO THE UA ARMOURLOFT II HOODED JACKET:
FIT: Sized to fit over a thick fleece (polartec 300) layer jacket (roomy fit); Warm but haven't field tested it as of yet.
I'm built more like a bodybuilder (big chest/arms; smaller waist 210lbs. 5'8")
Size XL fit OK but Roomy in some places; sleeve lengths appropriate - stops just below my wrists.
Smooth Polyester/Nylon outershell if u look closely in bright light - has pin-hole sized pores (I guess for breathability purposes) NOTE: THE shell is NOT Rip-Stop; nor is it waterproof - so I would NOT Dare wear it in a rainstorm unless underneath - a gore-tex or waterproof/breatheable shell). Contrary to the description the
Cuffs do NOT have the Cold Gear inner cuffs - unlike the Armourloft II Non-Hooded Jacket (fit is more athletic). Rather, the jacket has an "Open Cuff" design.
The Dual Front Zipper - Waterproof design (As is the Left Outer Chest Pocket). The zip mechanism is on the left side (you'll see its backwards) but works nonetheless. It also has an inner Mesh RIGHT chest pocket. I didn't see ports for ipod head phones by the way. All are lined except for the mesh pocket.
The insulation is warm but doesn't appear too bulky. Upper shoulders and torso lined with microfleece, however, doesn't intrude with removal of jacket. Nice feature is a zipper guard for your chin.
I was Quite DISAPPOINTED with the Hood design though. The insulation is much thinner and there are no elastic drawcords to snug down the hood in windy/colder climates.
The jacket is cut full with size XL approx. 33" in length (from back of neck to hem). Allows for better coverage on the slopes and while riding the lift (oh great my bums going to be warm this winter)
NO inner STORM CUFF like some snowboarding jackets. It has dual side elastic pull drawcords at the hem with cordlocks.
I don't know how durable the smooth outer shell is but if you plan on thrashing down the slopes, better use a more durable breathable/waterproof shell to protect the coat.
In my opinion, for those who would like a more athletic cut/fit - go for the armourloft II Jacket - more stylish while still providing similar warmth.
I can only rate it 3 1/2 stars.
I also own an Old North Face jacket with (Polarguard 3D insulation); Patagonia 2008 DAS Parka; and Mountain Hardwear Chugach Jacket (warmest of the bunch - but sadly - discontinued product).
I would rate the Armourloft II Hooded Jacket somewhere in the middle.
