Showcasing a 100% Nomex, Fire-Retardant fabric, the 5445 provides protection from heat and flames where fire-related risks exist. Under Armour's signature Moisture Transport System wicks away sweat from your skin to the outer layer of the garment, keeping you cool, light, dry and comfortable. The Fire Retardant Shirt features ArmourBlock technology, which kills microbes that cause bacteria, leaving the garment scent/odor free. Made in the U.S.A.
What is Nomex? Nomex is a brand of Flame-Resistant material discovered by the DuPont Company in the 1970's. Nomex is an extremely strong fiber with an extraordinary combination of resistance to heat and flames. It is used to form clothing and equipment that can stand up to intense heat. Nomex is generally used wherever resistance from heat and flames are required.
