What is Nomex? Nomex is a brand of Flame-Resistant material discovered by the DuPont Company in the 1970's. Nomex is an extremely strong fiber with an extraordinary combination of resistance to heat and flames. It is used to form clothing and equipment that can stand up to intense heat. Nomex is generally used wherever resistance from heat and flames are required.
