These socks are very warm; just what I was looking for.
Although they feel "scratchy" to the hand, on the feet they're very soft and warm. They do tend to slide down on the legs, and the color looks more brown than gray, (hence the 4 stars) but I would definitely buy them again.

Although these socks feel "scratchy" in your hands, they don't on your feet. They're very warm, but do tend to slide down during the day. They look more brown than gray. I'd buy them again. Make sure your shoes are large enough because they're very thick.

I have been wearing them this winter in zero to plus 30 degree weather, for hiking in the mountains and work. I find them warm and very comfortable. But I have always worn two pairs at a time or one pair with a pair of wigwam rag wools.

Love the socks. My occupation is outside. My family and i recently made a trip to FORT RICHARDSON, ALASKA and i found in really cold wheather, if you use these socks with a liner sock you get the best results. You don't have to be concerned about your feet getting cold.
