In 1905, Herbert Chesebro and the Hand Knit Hosiery Company manufactured heavy woolen work socks and liner mittens for lumbermen. An enterprise that began in January of that year and continues to this day, but under a shorter, more colorful name ...Wigwam socks. In the 80s and 90s, Wigwam, poised for continued growth and success. As witnessed by the introduction of Wigwam socks best-selling sock, the Moraine in 1984, the unveiling of the Wigwam socks Ultimax product line 1991, Wigwam socks sponsorship of the Ironman Triathlon, and the launch of Wigwam socks wildly successful Merino Wool line. Even today, Wigwam socks continues to innovate new fibers, fashions, and styles to meet the changing needs of sock wearers everywhere.
