McDavid Ankle X Brace - Black 189

I bought this brace for my 10 year old son who broke his ankle in early June and had his cast removed a week before fall football practices began. He was still walking with a limp at that point. I bought this brace both for the support and so he would worry less about reinjuring himself. Fit was true to size. He said it was/is comfortable and did not restrict his movement. The hard plastic offers more protection than other braces. He will wear the brace for the rest of the season as a precaution. I am very happy with the product and will put it in the attic - hoiping not to need it for him or my other kids - but also understanding that ankle injuries are common. Delivery was fast and on time.

My son plays goalkeeper on travel and H.S soccer teams. He's 6'5" and 175lbs. He's sprained both ankles during the past 6 months playing soccer, the most recent occurred 6 weeks ago. He's been using these braces (both ankles) for the past 3 weeks during training and games and has yet to have any pain/swelling in his recently sprained ankle. He says they fit great and don't restrict his movement. The braces appear to be very well made.
