This review is for my 7th and 8th pairs of Wrightsocks. This is my 3rd time purchasing an additional pairs of Wrightsocks Merino Coolmesh II socks, and there are good reasons for my loyalty. I am an avid long distance trail runner who runs in all conditions. No weather prevents me from running; I'm out in the dog days of summer, through snow and ice and rain, and everything in between. Not only is wool the single best material for all conditions, but the design of these particular socks are ingenious. The outer layer of merino wool keeps you warm or cool depending on conditions, and if socks are going to get wet, there is no better thing to have on your feet than wool. Period. The inner layer provides maximum comfort and moves with your foot. Not much more to say, than I will keep buying these socks. My original ones are a few years old, but are in adequate condition after hundreds and hundreds of gnarly miles. They have not stretched out, and they retain there unique qualities. IMPORTANT: Follow the damn directions and turn them inside/out when washing. This is key for any wool product. They will last the way they were intended if you do this simple act when laundering.
