Darn Tough Mens The Standard Mid-Calf No Cushion Lightweight Lifestyle Socks

I bought two pairs of Model 1480 recently and so far they have met every expectation. I will give them a real workout on our next trip abroad.
A few notes for buyers trying to decide on size and type: I wear a size 11-1/2 shoe and initially ordered XL because I was near the upper end of the range for Large and thought there might be shrinkage. But tere was 1/2" - 1" of extra fabric at the toe, so I exchanged for Large which fit much better. I went with the "no cushion" Model 1480 and am glad I did since they are thicker than the synthetic blend "Gold Toe" socks I wore before. A Darn Tough cushioned model would have been too thick for my liking. I also prefer the extra height of a mid-calf over a "crew" height, but that's personal preference.

Impeccable quality. Warm on cold days. Comfortable on hot, humid days. That’s why I have a drawer full of Darn Tough socks.

I love Darn Tough socks and look forward to every non-Darn Tough pair that needs to be replaced. However while the height on these is perfect for dress pants, I found there is some extra fabric (a finger pinch amount) that is left over on the heel. It shouldn't be an issue, but it's a problem I've never run into with a pair of Darn Tough socks. Maybe it's the middling height?

Too tight on calves, scratchy material and toe area narrows too much and you end up with a small pouch of loose sock on end. Do not buy.

Darn Tough is a darn good sock. Purchased these for work and they are exactly what I needed. They look great with all my dress clothes, are lightweight, keep my feet comfy and they actually stay up during the day. Purchased the Black and Blue colors but returned the other colors because they don't match browns and tans very well. Other than that, couldn't find anything to complain about. Would recommend these, plus the lifetime guarantee is nothing to sneeze at.

These Darn Tough socks are very comfortable good fit, and no slipping down your leg.. They are very well made.. May not be for the dead of winter (I work outside walking through snow all day).. But will work great for Spring through Fall.. I bought 2 in order to test out and now plan to buy more.
