Great socks in every way! They feel very snug on your feet and leg, and they stay up exceptionally well. Also, they keep you extremely warm in freezing temps. They're pricey yes, but to me they're worth every penny.
These socks are great, very warm and supportive. My only complaint is that they are hard to put on because they are so tight that you need to use a lot of effort to get them on, way too tight. Once on they are fine, but they could be a little less tight and would still stay in place over the calf.
Shrunk a bit and ripped when I tried putting them on. Will ask for a replacement and hope those last longer.

These socks are really comfortable and they go up to my knees and they have a great warranties on them. They are good with my cowboy style motorcycle boots.
These socks were a gift to a young man who works outside and is on his own. We know how money is very tight for him and he was a just freezing. When your feet are cold, the rest of you is cold. Darn Tough Hunter OTC Extra Heavy Cushion Mens Socks
I am a hardcore fly fisherman living in the beautiful state of Idaho. I fish every month of year including those cold days where you have to break ice out of your guides. I am now in my 50’s and would prefer bonefish on the flats, but the Icy waters prevail. After reading many, many reviews I ordered three pairs of the “Darn Tough Hunter OTC”. They have become my go to socks. They are the best sox I have ever used for the coldest conditions. Maybe the flats will no longer be my first choice in the winter months. Highly recommend!

The calf area is too tight and feels like a compression sock
they are great socks and keep my feet quite warm.they are well cpnstrucyed, but a bit pricy, i intend to purchase more but need to spread out the cost over several mon5hs. i guess that my dad had it right when h used to say " you pay a little extra if you want quality "

I’ll start with the only somewhat negative thing for these socks... they don’t have a lightweight version.
Okay, the significant details:
- TRUE Over the Calf fit, and stay, for people who actually have calf muscles.
- Warm and Comfortable... even when camping and sleeping in near freezing temps.
- Well Wearing... When needed, they can be worn several times before washing.
The bottom line is that they are well worth the price... not just for hunting. If I could, I would guarantee their performance and real value.
I purchased 2 pr.of the sock over the calf for a gift. He absolutely loved them.
