Smartwool Thermal Merino Reversible Cuffed Beanie

I just got this hat. I absolutely love it! I can’t figure out why it’s so light but so warm! The best thing is that it covers my ears without riding up. Something I haven’t had with other winter hats. Definitely a great buy and does everything the manufacturer says it does!

Like most Smartwool products this beanie is comfortable without being bulky it is 2 layers of merino wool that blocks wind and keeps your head warm

Comfortable, stretchy, itch-free. Not super warm, but the snug, close fit works well under a helmet.

It’s my go to beanie. I live in Texas so the winters are short and only gets cold for a few weeks at a time so I have only used this beanie to temps of 28 degrees with heavy wind and 90% humidity but that was only one morning before work usually it’s around 35-45F. But I wear it all day when I’m being lazy and cozy and it doesn’t over heat you but keeps you at a good temp.

Smartwool Cuffed Beanie - Black SW0SW956 Good quality at a great price. Larger head so it fits snug but not tight. Keeps my head warm but not sweaty. I have used it at 10 degrees or at 45 degrees both were comfortable. Highly recommend!

This is my husband's 3rd and 4th Smartwool cuffed beanie. We purchased 2 this time to have one for backup. He wears the beanie year round whether he needs to or not. The first two are still wearable but they have paid the price of 4 years service and are a bit stretched out. However, in all fairness, he does wear an XXL hat. The first two were gifts. We live in Florida and most beanies are too bulky to wear. This beanie is just right for our cool mornings and nights. An added plus is that they are machine washable in cold water. Our only disappointment is that is does not come in navy.

Most beanies are just too hot to wear. This beanie is just the right weight for cold and not so cold temps. without overheating. I have the training beanie too but this one is bigger and much more luxurious. Glad I bought it!!

great light weight Smartwool hat, can work as a liner. Machine washes amazingly well, and can be stretched to a larger size if you stuff it with towels when damp out of the washing machine and allow it to air dry.

The Smartwool beanie is comfortable, but not really that warm. It is good for chilly days, but not really cold ones.

Use this Smartwool cuffed beanie hunting and working outside. Very warm, able to cover ears if necessary. looks great! I have 2 and gave away three for Christmas gifts.

Flat out the best hat / underhat I have ever had -- fabulous wicking, fabulous comfort (only the tiniest itch, due to the presence of any hat at all). The cuffed nature of the garment allows for pulling it well down over the ears. combined with any over-the-ear hat that allows cinching under the chin and you have a nearly sealed ear cover that nonetheless allows you to hear quite well (good sound volume, no booming from friction between ear and garment)
