I bought these for my son, who is a Marine, and he absolutely loves them. I got a few different brands not knowing what was best and he said these were the sure winner.

These are my very favorite socks. No idea how many dozen I have owned. They fit great, feel great. Nice cushioning. I just love them. Except for ThorLo winter socks (which are also fantastic), these are all I ever wear.

Size is good but extremely tall.

Best socks there are for cushion and calf support! They are strong and have a long wear life. Just like our military, they are bulletproof!

I want to buy these for my daughter's fiance in Iraq, but know that as part of the uniform it must be a certain color. Can anyone tell me if the coyote brown is an acceptable color for an army private?

The best made combat boot socks on the market. Purchase proper color and you can wear them as a dress sock. The support is outstanding especially if you are on your feet for extended periods of time.

Socks are very comfortable and keep your feet dry. I wore them during AT this year in 90+ degree temps and 100% humidity and my feet remained comfortable. GoBros also sent me the wrong socks but with one call to customer service, they apologized and sent out the correct order with a return label for the wrong shipment in a timely manner. So great customer service as well!

The padding is good. My only objection is that these Thorlo socks are extremely hard to put on. The ankle area is constricted so they are difficult for a foot to pass through.

As a patrol cop in Colorado, I swear by the Thorlo Combat Boot Sock. Bad socks and bad boots can make the job miserable - this sock is the best year-round sock, hands down and have been buying them for 5 years.

My son is in the Corp of Cadets at a Senior Military College. I ordered him one pair for Christmas to try with his combat boots as opposed to his standard issue. He tried them in his hiking boots on a backpacking trip and said they were pretty amazing. He is very selective about what he likes so this was high praise! I ordered 4 more while they were on sale. My son works in a warehouse and has to be on his feet for long hours! These Thorlo socks make a difference with their extra padding! He also wears a size 18 shoe and the XL fits perfectly. They wear for a very long time! He always asks for these for Christmas! I would give these a five star rating!! The best socks ever!!

These are taller than I thought they would be and more padded than I thought they would be, they were a great buy. I am 6'5", ordered XL socks and they come up to just below my knees. The feet, beginning at the ankles, are very padded so much so I was concerned about my shoes fitting properly but I wear clogs and they are a little loose to begin with so I am good. If you plan to wear these with tight fitting shoes you may want to rethink your purchase. These Thorlo socks are great for loose boots like snow, hiking or work boots.

I started wearing Thorlo Slouch Socks 20 years ago. I've always liked an over the calf sock. Back then I could find them in stores, or sometimes get by the outlet in North Carolina. When I quit driving truck and could no longer find them in stores, I found GoBros online. Since I have a narrow foot I decided to try the MCB socks. I love them! They stop my feet from sliding around in my shoes. I still have the ones I got 10 years ago, and they are still in very good shape. I just got 8 more pairs. They will probably last me the rest of my life. I've tried many other brands. None compare, at any price! GoBros is great to deal with.

I am an amateur baseball/softball umpire and have used Thorlo socks for both plate and base work for 19 years. I was shopping for some replacements when I came across this version of their over-the-calf design. Given that the product description spoke to extra padding in certain areas, I decided to try them for plate work. In a word, they were great. The foot area of the sock is heavily padded without being too much and the rest of the sock is slightly lighter than my original one with the new one cooler to wear overall. All Thorlo products are good and this one is applicable beyond boots, military or otherwise.
