My dad is of an age that he's never warm, and especially his feet where there's no circulation. Standard sock purchases didn't work, so I search OTC heavy socks and came across GoBros (along w/ other companies). It's always a chance when you search and just pick anyone, but I couldn't be happier (or I should say my dad couldn't be). This was a test and it worked. I just ordered 3 more pairs so that he always has a pair at the nursing home, when we're washing his clothes.

They are great. Question, a few years ago I purchased two pairs from REI in Encinitas, California. Has the formula been changed? It seems that the original purchased socks were thicker. Still I am most satisfied with them.

These are the only socks I’ll wear. I’m on my feet all day in a brewery and where other premium socks have gotten holes and failed after a couple of months, these are still great after a year of wear. Amazing socks, comfortable in all conditions. I’ve stocked up and have a dozen or more pairs.

I would definitely buy these socks again. And again. And again. They fit my feet perfectly. The ankle and heel are exactly where they're supposed to be. The toes aren't squished but feel hugged instead. Feel hugged? Feels like a warm cushy hug from a baby lamb laying on your feet. These are simply The Best! Socks! Ever!!!

My husband loves these socks. They are the most expensive socks I have ever bought, but they are worth it. However, they do not last forever. As a matter of fact, we just returned a pair that wore through on the heel.

Darn Tough Mountaineering OTC Heavyweight Mens Hiking Socks

If I'd known this sock would not stay up for more than a few minutes of wearing it, I would've ordered a shorter sock to avoid the bunching that happens when the OTC sock ends up in a crumple just above my ankle. This sock's plenty padded all the way around, but I'd say the footpad portion isn't thick enough. I wish they'd make a really thick sock, mostly to hold in the heat when it's really cold out.

Like many reviews or reviewers, I haven't yet put these socks to the test. But I have worn them several times in above freezing temps here in MN. So far they are wonderful.
They seem to have great insulation properties compared to all of my other wool socks. They are smooth and feel great on my feet.

Had a similar product from same manufacturer and they lasted years and years! I am a size 12 but chose the XXL .

I’m not sure that much is going to “rock your socks off” if you’ve got these on. I am sold on darn tough for everyday wear, but these are ready for mountains.
