Hands come first at Hestra. Family-owned for three generations, every glove provides warmth, protection and fingertip sensitivity in the most varied conditions. All product development takes place in their design studio in Hestra, Sweden. The family of keen skiers remains focused on hands and gloves. And Hestra is still home. Hestra's most well known glove adapted for the younger set. Smaller hands required a slimmer fit while still being the warmest glove on the mountain. The Heli Ski Junior features a strong polyamide weave on the back and Army leather on the palm. Removable liner comes in handy when conditions change. Windproof, waterproof and breathable HESTRA Triton three-layer polyamide fabric meets a proofed Army Leather-goat leather palm. Achieve maximum performance with an eagle grip, snow lock with Velcro closure, carabiner and handcuffs. Hestra makes the warmest gloves on the planet and backs it up with a lifetime guarantee. The first gloves Hestra produced were for local lumberjacks in the timber forests of the Swedish province of Smaland. The gloves were made of leather and wool, reinforced with rivets to withstand the wear and tear of forestry work. In 1937, a ski slope was created nearby and demand grew for high quality, durable gloves. Leather and wool remain Hestra's favorite materials.
