Thorlo Walking Maximum Cushion Crew Socks

I walk a few miles a day using my Thorlo walking socks. The padding is not sufficient in protecting my feet as its advertisement claims because my feet hurt at the end of the day. I will exchange them for a pair with more padding in the heel and soul, perhaps the running socks recommended by the Thorlo customer service representative today.

I’ve been wearing Thorlo socks for close to 20 years, and some of them are now starting to show wear. They are the most comfortable, durable socks I’ve ever had. I especially like the way they cushion my feet, since as I grow older, the fat pads on the bottom of my feet are disappearing. They are warm, and the material wicks sweat away. They are easy care, and are machine washable and dry beautifully. I’m so glad I found your website, since many of the sporting goods stores that sold them have gone out of business, and I didn’t know where I could find any store that still sold them. I bought the cushioned walking socks, and have ordered the cushioned running socks for the extra padding, even though I walk now.

I agree with Susan above. I've been wearing Thorlo socks for years and have always loved the quality but the last two times I've ordered them, they've worn through very quickly. If fact, I've had to throw the equivalent of several pairs away that were in otherwise good condition because of worn holes in the bottom. I'm really disappointed and searching for a replacement.

De GoBros: Thorlo does not make a good sock anymore. In order to save manufacturing costs they have removed most of the elastic from their walking socks and running socks. The elastic is primarily on the top of the sock. The socks slide down the ankle frequently. This is not fault of GoBros of course. It is too bad because Thorlo was a top notch line of socks at one time. Sometime about 2-3 years ago they changed the elasticity of the sock and thus they will not longer be ordered by me. Good quality socks. I have purchased these socks for 15+ years. The cushioning is perfect for my arthritis condition. Over the tears the top double stitching has been added preventing the unraveling that used to occur. Thorlo listens to their customers and makes improvements where needed. Good quality socks. I won’t wear any other brand. You get what you pay for. The socks last for years. Highly recommend the socks and Go Bros. I also have the white crew socks for the gym. I hope these are the same as I used to buy. I just read some other reviews seems to be some question on whether Thorlo has continued with the same quality I am used to. After I wear these I will post again. I hope they are incorrect.
